Our Story

For over 30 years, I've designed women's and children's fashion for high street brands, creating collections in sizes 8–18. Yet, despite being a size 20–22 myself, I never stopped to ask the obvious question… Why wasn't I designing for women like me?

Like so many others, I found it difficult to discover clothing that was feminine, flattering, comfortable, and made from beautiful natural fabrics. I knew I couldn't be the only woman searching for effortless styles that felt as good as they looked.

That realisation inspired me to create Sharon K.

My vision was simple, to design beautiful pieces that women of all shapes and sizes could wear with confidence. And when we say One Size Fits All, we truly mean it. Our designs have been carefully fitted and loved by women from size 8 right through to size 30.

Watching customers try on the same garment—each styling it in their own unique way—is one of the greatest joys of what I do. Every Saturday at the Nelson Market, I'm inspired by the creativity, confidence, and individuality of the incredible women who wear Sharon K.

I've also loved hearing where our pieces have travelled. From holidays around New Zealand to Australia, Japan, and even cruises around the world, it's a privilege knowing Sharon K is part of so many special moments.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of all, I've finally found a wardrobe I genuinely love wearing myself!
